Ann Barr-Gillespie, PhD., D.P.T., is Vice Provost and Executive Dean of Pacific University’s College of Health Professions. Prior to joining Pacific in 2010, she served as a physical therapy professor and chaired the Physical Therapy Department at Thomas Jefferson University in Philadelphia. She also served as an associate professor of physical therapy with a secondary appointment in the Department of Anatomy and Cell biology at Temple University. In addition to her role with Community Action, Dr. Barr volunteers to support local livability needs as a Board of Directors chair for the Virginia Garcia Memorial Health Center. She also serves as a Board of Directors member of the Oregon Healthcare Workforce Institute. After earning her B.A. in chemistry from Reed College, Dr. Barr went on to complete her M.S. in physical therapy at Duke University, a PhD. in ergonomics and bio-mechanics at New York University, and a doctorate in physical therapy at the MGH Institute of Health Professions in Boston.
