From June 1 through August 31, if you are an eligible Washington County senior (age 62 and older) you can get a free portable air conditioning unit to help you stay safe and comfortable during the summer.

To qualify, your household income needs to be at or below 60% of Oregon’s median income (see income chart). The program is limited to one unit per household and to those who have not received a unit from Community Action in the past two years.

Please note that Community Action staff are not involved in the delivery or installation of the air conditioning unit. Your AC will be shipped directly to your home from Amazon. You will be responsible for moving and installation.
