Solid Waste & Recycling Reduced Rate Program

Income-qualified customers may receive a 75% reduction in their monthly collection rate. The approval period for the program is 24 months.

Available For:
Hillsboro residents, Beaverton residents, and residents living in an unincorporated area of Washington County (must reside in a single-family residence, duplex, triplex, or quadplex)

How to Qualify:
To qualify, applicants must meet one of the following criteria:
 

• Have an income at or below 185% of the Federal Poverty Level over the past 60 days, or
• Be currently enrolled in at least one of the following assistance programs:
  o    Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP)
  o    Temporary Assistance for Needy Families (TANF)
  o    Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program (LIHEAP)
  o    Women, Infants, and Children (WIC)
  o    Free & Reduced Lunch Program
  o    Housing and Urban Development Assistance (HUD)
  o    Medicaid (OHP)
